Austin & Round Rock Laser Hair Removal

Unwanted hair is annoying, bothersome, and a pain to maintain for both men and women alike. Millions of people resort to methods like shaving, waxing, tweezing, and epilating just to have their unwanted hair grow back like clockwork. In doing so, they pour thousands of dollars into continuous waxing appointments, shaving cream refills, shaving subscriptions, and other costly maintenance supplies.

Clean Slate Ink now offers a fast, effective, long-lasting solution for removing unwanted hair. Our laser hair removal treatments deliver permanent hair reduction by targeting hair growth at its root, successfully stunting future hair growth and giving you the smooth skin you’ve always wanted.

How Laser Hair Removal Works

During a laser hair removal session, our advanced ReSmooth laser emits high-powered light energy over the area with unwanted hair. The light safely penetrates through the skin and targets the root of your hair follicles. The melanin in the hair follicles absorbs the light energy, converts to heat, and damages the nourishing cells responsible for hair growth while leaving the surrounding skin tissue unharmed. This ensures permanent hair reduction in the treated area.

It should be noted that more heat is produced on darker, thicker, denser hair. Patients with lighter skin types and darker hair will experience faster results due to the contrast in their hair color and skin type. Regardless of your skin type and hair color, our ReSmooth laser provides optimal treatment across every hair and skin type combination.

Determining Your Needs

Hair cycles through different stages of growth (anagen), to no growth (catagen), and eventually shedding (telogen). Laser hair removal is only successful on hairs in the anagen phase. This phase, also known as the active growing phase, is when hair is still attached to its follicle and continues to receive nutrients that support hair growth. The catagen phase is when hair detaches from the follicle and stops growing, and the telogen phase is when hair separates from your body, and a new cycle begins.

Hair Removal Stages

Each hair on your body is in a different growth phase at all times, meaning hair growth is not synchronized. During a laser hair removal session, we treat all hairs in a particular area without knowing which growth cycle they’re in. Some hairs might be in the catagen phase, while others may be in the anagen phase. That means only the hairs in the anagen phase react well to the laser treatment. Multiple laser sessions are necessary to target every hair during its anagen phase. On average, most patients will need 5 to 10 treatments spaced 4 to 8 weeks apart.
